Answers to common questions about your Micromeet account.
Account Access
Go to Forgot password? on the login page. Enter the email address you signed up with and we'll send you a reset link. The link expires in 1 hour — use it before it expires. Check your spam/junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
Email us at hello@micromeet.app with your full name and any email addresses you may have used. We'll look up your account and — once we've verified your identity — help you regain access.
A few things to check:
noreply@mail.micromeet.appIf you registered using Google, your account doesn't have a password — you must log in using the Continue with Google button on the login page. The email/password form won't work for Google accounts.
Plans & Billing
See the full comparison on our pricing page. In short: Crew is free (up to 3 gatherings); Circle and Community are paid plans with more gatherings, multi-host support, analytics, and QR check-in.
Yes — Circle and Community plans include a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers. No credit card is required to start. The trial applies once per account and is not available on re-subscriptions.
Go to Account Settings and click Cancel plan. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then revert to the free Crew plan. No partial refunds are issued.
The Crew plan allows up to 3 gatherings. When you downgrade, your gatherings are sorted by priority — upcoming events first, then most recent past events — and the top 3 are kept active. Any beyond that are archived (hidden, but data is not deleted).
✓ If you re-subscribe, all your archived gatherings are automatically restored.
Collecting Payments
Paid events are available on the Community plan. Here's how to get set up:
Money goes directly into your Stripe account — Micromeet never handles your funds.
Stripe is a globally trusted payment processor used by millions of businesses. Micromeet uses Stripe Connect Express — a streamlined version that lets you accept card payments without needing a full Stripe business account upfront.
When you click Connect Stripe account, Stripe will walk you through creating your Express account. You'll need:
Stripe is free to connect — they charge a small per-transaction fee when you receive a payment (typically 1.5%–2.9% + a fixed fee depending on your country). Micromeet does not charge an additional fee on top of this.
Stripe pays out to your bank account on a rolling schedule — typically 2–7 business days after a payment is received, depending on your country and bank. You can view your payout schedule and transaction history directly in your Stripe Dashboard.
Guests pay via PayPal, which accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) as well as PayPal wallet balance. Guests do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Stripe support is planned for a future update.
If a guest fills in the RSVP form but abandons the payment page, they are recorded in your guest list with a status of Payment pending. Their spot is considered reserved but unconfirmed. You can:
No QR code or confirmation email is sent until payment is confirmed.
Refunds are issued directly through your Stripe Dashboard. Log in to Stripe, find the payment under Payments, and click Refund. Micromeet does not handle refunds — since the money goes directly to your Stripe account, only you can issue them.
After issuing a refund in Stripe, remember to update the guest's payment status to Refunded in your gathering guest list.
No. Micromeet does not charge a commission or platform fee on guest payments. The only fees deducted are Stripe's standard processing fees, which go directly to Stripe. Every cent above Stripe's fee lands in your account.
Yes. Open your gathering, find the guest in the guest list, and use the Payment dropdown next to their name — you can set it to ✓ Paid, Pending, or ↩ Refunded. This is useful for guests who paid you directly in cash or via bank transfer.
Note: manually marking a guest as paid does not issue a QR code — you will need to check them in manually at the door.
Timezones
Event times are displayed exactly as you entered them — no automatic conversion takes place. If you set an event for 7:00 PM, all guests will see 7:00 PM regardless of where they are in the world.
This means it's your responsibility to make it clear in the event title, description, or invites which timezone the event time refers to — especially for virtual events or gatherings with remote guests.
For events with guests across multiple timezones, we recommend including the timezone abbreviation in your event description (e.g. "7:00 PM MYT" or "3:00 PM GMT+8").
Your default timezone (set in Account Settings) is used for all your gatherings. It affects two things:
Set it once in Account Settings — it applies to all your events automatically.
Gatherings & Guests
Open your gathering from the lobby. Your unique RSVP link and a shareable QR code are shown in the right-hand panel. Tap Copy link and share it via WhatsApp, email, or any messaging app. Guests don't need an account to RSVP.
When a guest RSVPs and is confirmed, they receive a unique QR code in their confirmation email and on the RSVP success page. At the event:
If there's no internet, the guest's name and email are printed below their QR code so you can check them in manually against your exported CSV.
Yes. When creating or editing a gathering, toggle Set RSVP deadline and choose a date and time. Once that time passes, the RSVP page will show as closed and no new RSVPs will be accepted. You can update or remove the deadline at any time before it passes.
Yes — open your gathering and click Export CSV in the guest list panel. The CSV includes names, emails, phone numbers, RSVP status, and check-in status.
Yes. When creating or editing a gathering, scroll to the Cover image field and upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. It will appear as the banner at the top of your RSVP page.
If no image is uploaded, a colour gradient is automatically applied based on your event category. You can remove or replace a cover image at any time from the edit page.
Yes — the Note in confirmation email field (when creating or editing a gathering) lets you add a custom message that's included in every guest's RSVP confirmation email.
Use it for practical details like:
Yes. Toggle Hide address until RSVP when creating or editing a gathering. Guests will see the venue name on the RSVP page, but the full address is only revealed on the confirmation page after they submit their RSVP.
Useful for private events, home gatherings, or exclusive venues where you don't want the address publicly visible before RSVP.
Yes — this is the Require approval feature, available on Circle and Community plans. Toggle Require approval for each RSVP when creating or editing a gathering.
When enabled:
This is expected. Your lobby shows each gathering as one card — a recurring event (e.g. a weekly meetup) appears as a single entry regardless of how many sessions it has.
Your Analytics page breaks recurring events down by individual session, so each occurrence is listed separately with its own date and RSVP data. This gives you a more accurate view of attendance trends across sessions.
Example: a weekly event with 4 sessions = 1 card in the lobby, 4 rows in Analytics.
Yes — on Circle and Community plans, you'll see a Message guests button on your gathering page. You can send a custom email to:
The email is sent via Micromeet but uses your email address as the reply-to, so guests can reply directly to you. Each guest is addressed by first name.
